Two sunset at Kepler planet-16B

Two sunset together every time night falls on the Kepler planet-16b, say scientists in the journal Science on Thursday.
Events like science fiction was monitored researchers who conducted pengamtan of NASA's Kepler spacecraft. Researchers detected a planet orbiting two stars - for the first time such a phenomenon confirmed its existence.

"It's truly amazing measurements by Kepler," said Alan Boss of the Carnegie Institution of Science, together making up the research report.
"It is really interesting is there is a planet orbiting two stars," he said.
The stars are paired - ie two mutually rotating sun - are already known and so far astronomers suspect there are planets orbiting them. Kepler's observations was the first confirmation of this fact.
Gravity of two stars, even for relatively small stars such as the central system of astrology, it is very different from the gravity of the star, Boss said by telephone.
Kepler mission is to investigate our region in the Milky Way about the existence of planets in the "habitable zone" that is not too close or far from the stars they orbit.
Spacecraft is doing it by discovering the stars with light dims periodically, which means there is a celestial body that orbits - a planet - which moves between the star and instrument Kepler. This is known as a transiting planet.
What is surprising is that the stars eclipsed each other with each other when one star who kept others. The third eclipse showed that a planet to be part of the system.
Because the second sun is smaller and cooler than our sun, planets Kepler-16b is very cold, with surface temperatures of about minus 73 to minus 101 degrees Celsius, said the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics said in a statement. Josh Carter is the author of the institute with the research.
Kepler-16b is a large gas planet cool with the same size and mass of the planet Jupiter, which orbits the sun every 229 days at a distance of 104.6 million kilometers. This distance is approximately equal to the orbit of Venus. Earth orbits the sun every 365 days at a distance of approximately 149.7 million kilometers.
The newly detected planet is 200 light years from Earth and it is estimated there are no life forms there. A light year is the distance light travels in a year, about 10 trillion kilometers.
